Job Description:

At Regions, the Community Development Lending & Investment Partner is responsible for the identification and origination of loans and investments in partnership with the Commercial Bank and the Regions Community Development Corporation (RCDC). These include investments and loans with and directed to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), affordable housing developers, and high impact economic development transactions in the Regions footprint.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategies that support community development lending and investment goals for assigned markets

  • Delivers knowledgeable advice and solutions, institutionalizes client relationships, and optimizes revenue opportunities

  • Collaborates with relevant business partners in team-based delivery

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with community organizations, non-profits, government agencies and other centers of influence

  • Supports transaction processes from initial engagement through final close, including structure, pricing, internal approval/compliance processes, and documentation

  • Partners with RCDC as appropriate to facilitate loans and investments that do not fit within the Corporate Bank’s policies

  • Identifies partnership opportunities that enhance community development initiatives

  • Stays abreast of industry trends and changes in regulatory landscape

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Five (5) years of experience in banking, community development finance, real estate development, or related field

  • Must be willing to travel as needed

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to maintain a positive reputation and network of industry contacts

  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and strengthen internal and external relationships

  • Knowledge of community development programs and products

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a cooperative and diverse environment

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

This position is part of the overall Community Affairs team at Regions that works to implement the bank’s community engagement strategy based on fostering inclusive prosperity in the communities we serve.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$105,027.20 USD

Median:

$130,060.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
