Job Description:

At Regions, the Business Unit Compliance Administrator typically operates as a first line of defense risk management expert that ensures that business unit activities follow necessary rules and regulations and comply with legal boundaries and jurisdictions. Associates at this level should have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and are also considered analytical or procedural experts within a specific line of business. Associates will have influence over process and policy changes. This position is an individual contributor and typically reports to the Business Unit Compliance Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains a proficient knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations for a specific line of business

  • Conducts research of laws and regulations that impact compliance to include monitoring for new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws and regulations

  • Establishes partnerships with line of business leadership and Corporate Compliance groups to provide expertise on compliance issues affecting the line of business

  • Focuses on the resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes

  • Oversees creation and delivery of training to assigned business area to increase compliance awareness

  • Administers a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Performs administrative duties related to a particular line of business systems and database management maintaining knowledge of database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues related to compliance, regulatory projects, and risk management

  • Resolves work flow issues, and oversees quality improvement techniques

  • May provide guidance or mentor professionals in the first line of defense functions

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance/control, audit or other related compliance function specific to a line of business

  • Or High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance/control, audit or other related compliance function specific to a line of business

Preferences

  • Master's degree

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager Certification (CRCM)

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$124,760.00 USD
